I do not accept health insurance. However, I do provide an invoice that can be submitted to insurance companies for consideration for reimbursement as an out of network service.
What forms of payment do you accept?
Cash, check and credit card are accepted for payment.
What are your fees? Do you offer a sliding scale?
My counseling fees are reasonable and customary for the types of services I offer in Bethesda, MD. Please contact me to discuss specifics. I do reserve several sliding scale spaces which are available for certain situations.
How can I set up an appointment?
Please contact me by email at firstname.lastname@example.org and let me know that you would like to set up an appointment. I will then arrange a time to speak with you by phone so I can learn more about what you are looking for help with. From there we will determine a mutually agreeable time to meet. You may also call me directly at (301) 744-9720, though you will most likely have to leave a message. Please indicate the best times to reach you and I will call you back as soon as I am able.
What are your office hours?
I generally meet with clients during regular business hours, 9am-5pm, but can sometimes accommodate an earlier appointment. I offer evening appointments on Tuesdays.
What are the rules of confidentiality?
The relationship between the therapist and client is confidential. Information can only be provided to others through written consent of the client. In the exception of a client being in danger to herself or others, the law states that confidentiality may be broken to insure the safety of all involved.
What is your Cancellation Policy?
A full fee is charged for missed appointments or no show cancellations with less than a 24 hour notice, unless due to illness or emergency.
Do you offer sessions by phone or by Skype?
I prefer to do sessions in person but will conduct phone or Skype sessions with clients I have an established relationship with. The fee is the same as a regular session.
What can I expect from our first session?
During our first session we will discuss your reasons for coming in to counseling and how you would like your life to be different. I will gather a variety of background information from you and discuss goals you would like to work on. If we both agree that we feel a good “fit,” we will begin to formulate a general plan regarding how we can work together.
Where are you located?
My office is conveniently located in downtown Bethesda with easy access to the metro, buses and circular trolley. Metered street parking is available on Del Ray Avenue and surrounding streets. A large public parking lot is 1/2 block from my office building, with entrances on both Del Ray and Auburn Avenues.
Please call me directly at (301) 744-9720 for further information. I will answer any of your questions about my fees, insurance, my schedule, and anything else that you might want to know before you come in. To schedule a time to speak you can either call me or send me an email.
